Be the Voice They Need
Hey y’all,
let’s talk real quick
about something we can all relate to:
being a kid
and relying on adults to take care of us.
We all know what it feels like, right?
Being small
and
trusting someone bigger
to have our backs,
to give us what we need.
Now imagine
what it’s like
when those adults,
whether on purpose
or
just because
they don’t know better,
drop the ball.
The ones who suffer?
It’s the kids.
Remember,
We Were All Kids Once
We’ve all been there,
feeling small,
helpless,
and looking up
to someone else
to handle things.
But not every kid
gets what they need from
the adults in their life.
Sometimes,
people ignore what’s going on.
Maybe
they don’t wanna get involved,
maybe
they just don’t see it,
but
whatever the reason,
kids are the ones feeling the pain.
It’s easy
to forget that kids
don’t have a voice like we do.
They can’t stand up and say,
“Hey, something’s wrong here!”
That’s why
they need us.
Why Should You Care?
I get it
~ life moves fast.
We’re all caught up
in our own stuff,
and it’s easy to think,
“That’s not my problem.”
But what if that kid was you?
Wouldn’t
YOU
want someone
to step in
when things weren’t right?
Wouldn’t
YOU
want someone
to notice
when something was off?
If we don’t speak up
for the little ones,
who will?
Be the Good Samaritan
You know the story
of the Good Samaritan,
right?
The person who didn’t look away,
didn’t walk past
when someone needed help.
That’s the energy
we need to bring
when we see a kid in trouble.
Whether it’s a neighbor,
a family member,
or even a random kid you see at the store,
if you see something,
say something,
You might be the only one who does.
You Can Change a Life
You don’t
need to be a superhero.
You don’t need to solve every problem.
But by simply
showing you care,
by speaking up,
you might be
the one person
who changes everything
for that child.
It’s not about
having all the answers;
it’s about showing up,
using your voice,
and letting that kid know
someone is watching out for them.
Let’s Break the Cycle
Think about it
~ when you step in,
you’re not just helping one child
in one moment.
You could be
breaking a cycle
of neglect,
hurt,
or even abuse.
You
could be
stopping that kid
from carrying trauma
into
their future,
into
their relationships,
into
the next generation.
So,
the next time
you see
or
hear something
that doesn’t sit right,
don’t hesitate.
Be the one who steps up.
It’s not just about you
~ it’s about
making sure that
the next generation knows
someone cares
ENOUGH
to stand up for them.
The Power of Speaking Up
In a world
where so much
is overlooked,
where it’s easy to just
scroll past
or
move on,
don’t be that person.
Be the ONE
who speaks up
for the voiceless,
for the ones who can’t defend themselves.
Because,
trust me,
it’ll make a difference.
And that difference?
It might be bigger than you’ll ever know.
Catch y’all later,
and remember:
if you see something,
say something.
Someone’s future might depend on it.
With love and respect,
Reina Dee ✊🏾
