Friendship:
A Bond Like No Other
‘Friend’
~
What a simple
yet
powerful word.
A friend
is someone
who can be closer
than a brother or sister,
a bond
that carries a strength
unlike any other
relationship.
Friendship
has the power
to create
a sense of security.
A space
where we feel safe
to express ourselves
and
find empowerment in
just being who
we are.
But
let’s talk about
how
we use this word.
Friend.
It’s tossed around
the world in countless languages
every single day.
Strangers
even
use it
to refer to
one another.
Sad 😢
how often its misused.
We should
take a moment
to consider
what we mean
when we say
friend
and who
we’re actually referring to.
Not everyone
who shares a laugh with you,
spends time with you,
or likes your posts on social media
is truly a friend.
Friendship Ain’t Always Easy
One
of the
hardest parts
about being a real friend
~
and any
true friend
will back me up here
~ is that:
it ain’t always easy.
Friendship requires work.
One of the biggest challenges?
Communication.
It’s essential.
Without it,
even the strongest friendships
can start to feel
distant.
When
the communication
stops
or
slows down,
it’s easy
to feel like
the friendship
isn’t what it used to be.
And if
communication is lacking
during the times
one friend is struggling
or in need,
it can really hurt.
Miscommunication and Misunderstanding
Here’s the thing:
miscommunication
and
misunderstanding
are two
of the biggest threats
to a friendship.
A misunderstanding
left unresolved
can cause a rift
so wide
it feels
impossible to cross.
When the
lines of communication
aren’t open,
friendships suffer.
And
in some cases,
they don’t
just
suffer
~ they end.
So,
let’s be intentional about
how we
use the word
friend.
Let’s make sure
our friendships
are built on real communication,
understanding,
and care.
All I’m Sayin’ Is…🫦
A true friend?
That’s a bond worth holding onto.
Dedicated to My Friends,
